Tips For Cleaning Your Hot Tub Acrylic

Tips For Cleaning Your Hot Tub Acrylic

We use acrylic in our hot tubs due to the material’s strength, ability to retain heat, smooth finish, and long lifespan. One vital aspect of maintaining a hot tub is keeping the acrylic surface clean and sanitized. Some helpful tips and tricks will help keep your spa looking its best and ensure a pristine soaking experience for years to come.

1. Wipe the surface of the acrylic with dish soap or a solution of equal parts vinegar and water using a damp TUB SCRUB CLOTH OR SPONGE. Harsh chemicals should not be used as they can damage the surface and affect your water chemistry.

2. Do not use any cleaning products that are abrasive or contain solvents as these may dull the brilliant surface.

3. If there is a scum line on your acrylic, use a TUB SCRUB SPONGE to wipe it away. If it does not lift off easily, it may be time to drain and clean your spa using SPA FLUSH. Learn more HERE.

4. From time to time, light surface scratches may appear. To remove them, use wet or dry sandpaper. Spray a little bit of water on the surface and mildly buff the area until the scratch disappears. Then, wipe off any excess residue. If you find that the area lacks shine after, apply very little paste wax or automobile rubbing compound and mildly buff the area.
